Your dates
The “age on” date must be on or after the date of birth.
How your age is calculated
Age is counted in whole calendar units: first the complete years since your birth date, then the complete months, then the remaining days. For example, someone born on 15 June 1995 is 30 years, 3 months and 24 days old on 9 October 2025 — the same way schools, passport offices and job applications count it.
Checking age eligibility for exams and jobs
Many applications ask for your age “as on” a cut-off date rather than today. Set Age on this date to that cut-off date to see exactly how old you will be, then share the link if you need to show someone the result.
Born on 29 February?
In years without a 29 February, this calculator treats your birthday as 28 February. Some countries use 1 March for legal purposes, so check local rules if it matters for an official form.
Frequently asked questions
- Does it account for leap years?
- Yes. It works with real calendar dates, so leap years and months of different lengths are handled automatically.
- Can I calculate the age of something other than a person?
- Yes — enter any start date, such as when a company was founded or a relationship began, to see the time elapsed.
- Is my date of birth saved anywhere?
- No. The calculation happens in your browser. It only appears in the address bar if you choose to copy a share link.
