How it works

  1. Step 1

Pick the compressor for your file type below.

  2. Step 2

Drop in your files and choose Light, Medium or Heavy (or set an exact quality).

  3. Step 3

Compare before and after sizes, then download.

Good to know

  • Light keeps the best quality (about 20% smaller), Medium balances size and quality (about 35%) and Heavy makes the smallest files (about 50% or more).
  • Photos, WAV audio and documents full of images shrink the most. JPGs inside a ZIP, or MP3s, are already compressed and change little.
  • If a file can’t be made smaller, you get your original back — never a worse file.
  • Free, no sign-up
  • Runs in your browser
  • Works on phones

Frequently asked questions

Are these File Compressors free?

Yes. Every one of these File Compressors is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.

Are my files uploaded to compress them?

No. Compression runs inside your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded, which is why it is safe for private photos and documents — and why big videos depend on your device’s speed.

How much smaller will my file get?

It depends on the file. Phone photos often shrink 50–80%, WAV audio 80–90% and image-heavy PDFs about half. Light aims for about 20% smaller, Medium about 35% and Heavy about 50%. Files that are already compressed (MP3s, ZIPs of JPGs) change little — if the result isn’t smaller, you get your original back.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari and other modern browsers on Android and iPhone — pick files from your gallery or Files app. Large videos and long PDFs are faster on a computer.
