Good to know
- Attributes are kept: in JSON they appear with an “@” prefix, e.g. "@id": "7".
- For CSV and Excel, repeated elements (like many <item> tags) become rows.
- Invalid XML is reported with the line and column of the problem.
- Free, no sign-up
- Runs in your browser
- Works on phones
Frequently asked questions
Are these XML Converters free?
Yes. Every one of these XML Converters is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
Is the data I paste sent to a server?
No. Conversion runs in JavaScript inside this browser tab and nothing you paste is sent or stored. Even so, avoid pasting live passwords, API keys or private customer data into any website.
Why do I get an error?
Almost always the input isn’t quite valid: a missing comma or quote in JSON, an unclosed tag in XML, or a tab in YAML. The error message shows where parsing stopped — fix that spot, or press “Load example” to compare with input that works.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers — nothing to install.
